Become Mandi’s Hero

I want to thank the Hockey Mom who brought this to my attention, because there is nothing I would rather do than to get the word out.

Mandi Schwartz is a 22 year old from Wilcox, Saskatchewan and plays hockey for Yale University. In 2008, she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. The disease went into remission, until earlier this year. Mandi returned home to Saskatchewan and has been undergoing chemotherapy, but she requires our help, as she needs to find a bone marrow or cord blood donor NOW. There has been a world-wide campaign (via facebook and the internet) to help her in hear search, but time is running out.

You can Check out her story at:

Or learn more about blood cord banking (effortless and painless for pregnant moms) at:

At the very least, please join her facebook group at http://www.BecomeMandisHero.net

As one hockey mom mentioned on our facebook page a while back, we Hockey Moms need to stick together. Well, this hockey child needs us now, so let’s help out and do what we can to get the word out. Maybe you can become Mandi’s hero!

Hockey Moms in Canada are pulling for you, Mandi!
